Projects

WildHorse targets assets close to energy markets in countries that are developed, supportive of mine development and which are experiencing growing uranium demand.

It is developing projects in the United States, Central Eastern Europe and South America.

In the US, WildHorse has two projects in the Great Divide Basin, within the Continental Divide of Wyoming. These are the Sweetwater Project and the Bison Basin Project.

In Europe, WildHorse has four projects in southern Hungary. These are the Pécs Project, Dinnyerberki Project, Bátászék Project and the Máriakéménd Project. The company also has applied for exploration permits in southern Poland.

In South America, WildHorse has an early stage project in Paraguay.

WildHorse has established offices in the US and in Hungary, to co-ordinate its activities.

WildHorse’s projects are focussed on in-situ recovery mining (ISR), also known as in-situ mining or solution mining. ISR mining is a non-invasive, environmentally friendly mining process involving minimal surface disturbance that extracts uranium from porous sandstone aquifers by reversing the natural processes which deposited the uranium. Basically, ISR uses water pumped under high pressure to extract uranium from rocks.

This mining technology is used widely in the uranium industry. It minimises ground disturbances and allows rehabilitation of mined areas in relatively short periods of time.
