Projects
Wildhorse targets coal assets which are suitable for UCG with a geographic focus on Central Europe, particularly Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and Slovakia. Close proximity to power stations and good infrastructure is key as the Company advances its strategy to become a leading supplier of syngas to power stations in the region.
Wildhorse is currently developing three substantial UCG projects in Hungary:
- The Mecsek Hills Gas (UCG) Project, which has a current Exploration Target of between 1-1.25 billion tonnes of coal at 18.8GJ/t to 29.3GJ/t1 located in a historical coal mining district in southern Hungary
- The Izabela UCG Project, a 46.1 km2 coal deposit (containing 345 historic drill holes) located in a historic coal mining district in northern Hungary
- The Amelie UCG Project, a 25 km2 coal deposit (containing 84 historic drill holes) in western Hungary located in a historical coal mining district
The Company also owns the Mecsek Hills Uranium Project in southern Hungary which has an existing JORC Inferred Resource of 48.3MT at 0.072% U3O8 for 77Mlbs of U3O8. The current Exploration Target for the total project area is 55-90Mlbs of contained U3O8 with a grade range of 0.075-0.10%2.
